The multidisciplinary program will feature 30 speakers from six countries over three full days and will be entirely dedicated to exploring various aspects of Jaynes's theory. Toward A Science of Consciousness
Tucson, Arizona, April 10–14, 2012. Prof. Brian J. McVeigh presented a talk on Jaynes's theory titled "Hallucinations as Adaptation: Divine Voices, Visions, and Autoscopy as Neuropsychological Vestiges" on Wednesday, April 11 during the 4:30pm - 6:35pm "Evolution and Free Will" session. Paul Evans presented a poster related to Jaynes's theory and epigenetics.
An informal gathering of Jaynes enthusiasts was organized by Marcel Kuijsten and Prof. Brian McVeigh.

Robert J. Sawyer - "Consciousness in Science Fiction" (Sat., April 17, 11:00am)
Science fiction writer Robert Sawyer will be one of the keynote speakers. Mr. Sawyer incorporates Jaynes's ideas into two of his novels: WWW: Wake and Mindscan.
