Greetings,

Is there anyone out there

1) who can direct me to publications or people relevant to and/or
2) who is interested in discussing or helping me with and/or
3) has thoughts about

the relationship of JJ's ideas about the evolution of consciousness to the attempt to build/program/create robot minds that function.

It seems to me unlikely that any correct formulation of the evolution of mind could be useless or irrelevant to an attempt to create artificial mind.

I've been playing with AI and learning algorithms for 23 years, although I have a mostly unrelated day job being professorial. My work is described at http://www2.potsdam.edu/lanzcc/ , but this is not particularly relevant to the question I am posing here.

Thanks!

I know there are people that share your interest in AI and Jaynes's theory but I don't know of any resources right now, or of anyone doing research in this area. Incidently, Jaynes felt that computers could never be conscious.

Please keep us posted on your work.
