I would like to start a thread about video material.

Here is the link to the video page on the website:

More videos can be found in section 12 of the self study course:

I was wondering if anyone knows about the lecture JJ gave at the 1st International Alexander Technique Congress in 1986.

I tried to find a video online to post a link, but I only found this outdated one:
https://vimeopro.com/trackaccess/alexan ... /199209494

It has been published by David Reed Media as part of the "The Alexander Technique, A Worldwide Perspective" DVD set.
(see: https://www.mouritz.co.uk/09detailvidau ... =FRE986DE2)

It is a very interesting talk and gives a good overview of his theory.
(Actually, it was through this video that I first became aware of JJ.)

This is great, I did not know about this one. I will look into obtaining it and making it available.

Finding video of Julian Jaynes has been difficult.

Some years ago I tried to get a copy of the McMaster-Bauer Symposium on Consciousness, but at the time I reached a dead end. It was filmed, however, and there should still be a copy. I will look into this again.

There is a video of a lecture title "Imagination and the Dance of the Self" by Julian Jaynes at the main branch of the New York Public Library. I was not able to get a copy but I did transcribe it and publish it in The Julian Jaynes Collection.

Here is the reference for anyone in the New York area that would like to go there and watch it:

I hoped this video would interest someone.

I have a copy in m4v format. It is about 150 MB.
I could share It privately with a "Person in Charge" (temporarily upload somewhere), but of course, to make it publicly available, one has to contact the official owners of the material. I think the head of the congress was Michael Frederick.

Great! I'm looking forward to seeing it.

Please send me a private message with details of where I can download it, or you can contact me here:

https://www.julianjaynes.org/contact/

After I see I'll get in touch with them regarding permissions.

Another one we're looking for is Julian Jaynes's December 20, 1977 appearance on The Dick Cavett Show.

That's quite an interesting project, I sadly don't have the opportunity to look for copies of these recordings, but I would love to see them available some day. However, I could subtitle them in French and Russian, should there be a need for it!
