Thanks, Moderator, for your reply. I agree that the whole pattern of evidence is what matters, but if enough ancient texts show evidence of a relatively modern mindset, Jaynes' theory (or at least its historical component) would be somewhat undermined. Regarding this objection: "And only lookin...
