The Best Books on the Bicameral Mind

We also frequently see people express misconcep...

Re: headed

I would agree with that interpretation.

One thing you might try during your translation process is looking how the German, French, and Spanish translators translated similar words and sentences.

Re: The Analog "I" and the Regular "I"

I'm not sure this is the best thread for a discussion of brain hemisphere differences, but I would suggest that there is a very large literature on the subject in various psychology journals. Among the general public, there was a great deal of discussion of this in books and magazines, but more so i...

Re: The Analog "I" and the Regular "I"

There does seem to be some individual differences on this. The third person view of oneself seems to particularly occur when remembering embarrassing memories for some reason. So if you think of an embarrassing memory of yourself, you will be much more likely to view yourself from the perspective of...

Re: The effect upon the analog I, of psychedelic experience.

Thank Glenn. I've heard similar accounts, in terms of the dissolution of the 'I', but I don't have any first hand experience with this. Did you experience any accompanying hallucinations? Thank you, that's an interesting observation. This is definitely another practice that can benefit from a possible Jaynesian interpretation.
