Bicameralism and Football (Soccer)

Post by EdTol »

'The Origin of Consciousness in the Breakdown of the Bicameral Mind' is one of the most inspiring books I have read. After I had finished reading it, I decided to scribe an article linking Jaynes's hypothesis to football. It's only a playful and rather verbose effort, but if anyone is interested you can follow this link:

It could be the case; however, that after one has encountered a convincing and well stated theory, one sees traces of it everywhere - including the social formations that gather around people kicking a ball for a living. The Breakdown of the Bicameral Mind hypothesis thus offers a substitute for the certitudes that were lost by the actual neurological breakdown of the bicameral mind!
